On January 29 (Sunday), the sledding area on Vitosha Mountain near Sofia will be ready to welcome children with lots of fun games, competitions and quizzes. The specialized snow sledding facility was opened last year and now for the second consecutive winter draws numerous Sofia residents and guests of the city.

In addition to family sleigh races in the area, this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests will be greeted by professional animators who will take care of the good mood and smiles on the children's faces. There will be competitions for the most beautiful sled, for a snow figure, for the most fun rolling in the snow, snowball fight, treasure hunt in the snow and other entertainment in which "Sofia - European Capital of Sport" has extensive experience in organizing annual winter festivals.

The sledding area is located next to Aleko Hut, and the meadow itself - on the border of the forest belt is fenced with safety nets and processed by machines to offer an ideal slope for sledding and ends with a counter-slope for stopping.

The first dedicated sledding area on Vitosha is open on weekends when the weather allows, and this Sunday, the forecasts are for clear and quiet weather without wind, at least until noon.
