Hospitals call for financial help

Hospital associations want urgent help because of the high prices of electricity and gas and call for a gradual increase in funding for the most underfunded clinical pathways. This is what a letter of five hospital associations to Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and ministers reads. According to hospitals, "underfunding of clinical pathways has been a chronic disease of the system for years and for some of them funding must rise by 100-200%." In addition, there are currently hospitals that receive electricity bills many times higher in comparison to a few months ago, the letter also reads.
