“As of Monday, a coordination centre in Veliko Turnovo will help make contact with arriving Bulgarian and Ukrainian citizens fleeing from the military operation in Ukraine,” mayor Daniel Panov said for the BNR. One of the municipal crisis centres will also accommodate refugees.

A coordination centre helpline will be activated on 28 February + 359 883247410. It will be for people who have left Ukraine because of the war there and who are in need of accommodation, food and help. The contact information of the Veliko Turnovo coordination centre will also be sent to Poltava in Ukraine.

The coordination centre will help refugees with finding a job, medical help, and if they have children – having them admitted to kindergarten or school.
