Photo: Ani Petrova, BNR

A threat for a bomb placed at the National Assembly necessitated a search of both buildings of the Bulgarian parliament. However, no explosives were found.

The signal was received at 5:10 p.m. on March 8, during a phone call from a man posing as an Afghan.
In less than an hour, police were able to identify the man who gave the signal from Nova Zagora and detained him. The phone from which he called was also confiscated.
