The visit of the European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi to Bulgaria continues. Today she will meet with Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova.

"My team is working on several topics related to the work of the European Public Prosecutor's Office - first, amendments to the Judiciary Act to ensure more independent work of European delegated prosecutors," she said.
Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev announced yesterday that he would also meet with Laura Coveschi and said he had nothing to worry about. "The only thing that worries me is the constant violation of the rule of law and the separation of powers by politicians. This is becoming more and more worrying for our European partners, " he said.
