Following a ruling of the Sofia City Court, the Commission for Anti-corruption and Illegal Assets Forfeiture has issued a writ of attachment regarding a property of businessman Vasil Bozhkov in France, the commission’s Deputy Chairman Anton Slavchev said for the BTA. The measure has been registered at the mortgage register in Paris.

The real estate property is a residential building, which is the subject matter of a civil action for the confiscation of illegally acquired assets in favor of the state. Its market value is estimated at EUR 1,335 million. Similar procedures are underway in Greece, Spain and Germany, Anton Slavchev added.
