“116,000 Ukrainian refugees have entered Bulgaria since the start of the war and 54,000 of them have remained,” Kalina Konstantinova, Deputy Prime Minister for Good Governance said in an interview with bTV.
According to her, more than 30% of all refugees are children. “In view of the size of the wave we need to find as many places to accommodate them as we can, as soon as we can,” she said further, and added that everything possible is being done to avoid putting up tent camps for the people fleeing Ukraine.
