Bulgaria to abolish anti-epidemic measures in schools on April 1: Education Minister

362 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 4,063 tests performed, data of coronavirus.bg show. 68.2% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 9% of the tests have returned positive results.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection decreased to 189,422. 54 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 85% of them were not immunized. 2,059 patients are beings treated in hospital, as 242 of them are in intensive care units.

8 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 424 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours. A mere 201 vaccine doses were administered in Bulgaria on Sunday.

Bulgaria is to abolish all Covid-19 measures in schools as of April 1. All students must attend in-person classes, except for those who submitted applications for individual training, Bulgaria’s Minister of Education and Science Professor Nikolay Denkov said for the BNT.
