The question of rendering Ukraine military assistance was not put to discussion at the coalition defence council, convened by the formations from the ruling coalition.

“We had a conversation regarding the overall organization of the Ministry of Defence,” Democratic Bulgaria co-chair, General Atanas Atanasov said. He stated he would submit his proposal for rendering Ukraine military aid to each of the parties from the ruling coalition, and expressed the hope that there will be a decision on the proposal by the end of the week.

Minister of Defence Dragomir Zakov stated that parliament is the place where the discussion on rendering Ukraine military aid ought to take place, and added that his personal position is that he will “welcome such a discussion”.
