Seventy percent of 3,300 Ukrainian citizens who have consulted mobile teams of the Bulgarian Employment Agency say they are ready to start work immediately and 10 percent say they could start right now if there is care provided for their children. 66% of Ukrainians surveyed have a university degree and 32% have a secondary education. The most preferred positions are those of office secretary, hotel administrator, cashier, catering employee, production worker.
So far, Bulgarian business has offered 2,800 jobs to Ukrainian refugees, most of them in the field of information technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical technology, food technology and tourism. More than 39,500 Ukrainian citizens have already received status of temporary protection in this country, according to the web portal "Bulgaria for Ukraine".
