We Continue the Change proposes lower VAT on bread, fruit, vegetables

We Continue the Change is proposing a reduction of VAT on home-produced bread, fruit and vegetables,” Venko Sabrutev, deputy chair of the parliamentary budget and finance committee said for the BNR. A reduction of VAT on electricity is also being mulled. The measures are to be included in the anti-inflation package which the ruling coalition is preparing. “How big the reduction on VAT will be will become clear very soon,” Venko Sabrutev said further.

We Continue the Change has already sent an inquiry to the Finance Ministry regarding the impact of the measure on the revenue side of the budget.
