The parliamentary committee on regional policy has adopted a decision by force of which the Road Infrastructure agency can pay road construction companies for 50% of the repair and maintenance work they have done.

Regarding the remaining 50% of the money, the committee will come to a decision based on the results of the examination of the contracts being conducted by an interministerial commission. The MPs also approved a decision for the payment of 100% of all payments due for the delivery and assembly of restraint systems, road signs and road surface markings.

“The real payments can be expected to take place within a maximum of two weeks of the delivery of the decision,” Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadjov said after the meeting.
