Foreign Minister Genchovska: Bulgaria’s position on Bulgarians in North Macedonia remains unaltered

“To begin the process of its EU accession negotiations, the requirement for the Republic of North Macedonia to register Bulgarians in its Constitution remains,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska stated before the conference in Sofia EU meets the Balkans, with the participation of European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.

During his visit to Bulgaria, Commissioner Várhelyi is to meet with President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and with Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska to discuss the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans.
