The first forum for the implementation of blockchain in Bulgaria's public sector to discuss future of digital services

The first initiative in Bulgaria to present the possibilities of new digital technologies for modernizing the public sector will be held in Sofia on May 12. Topics of the event will include the digital identity portfolio, the ability to quickly and easily verify diplomas in other countries, tracking documents and using the blockchain as a "digital notary". 

The forum is organized by the Startup Factory Association, the French Embassy in Sofia and the French Institute and is part of the initiatives related to the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 

The Minister of e-Government Bozhidar Bozhanov, the MEP Eva Maydell and high-ranking representatives of European institutions will present their views on the areas of application of the blockchain in the public sector.
