This year's summer tourist season in Bulgaria will be better than 2021. However, it will not meet the expectations from the beginning of the year, because of the war in Ukraine, the President of the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents Dimitrina Goranova said for the BNR.

Cultural-cognitive tourism will not develop according to preliminary plans, Dimitrina Goranova added. In her view, however, it is not too late to attract more foreign tourists: "Bulgaria should organize information tours of foreign tour operators, journalists and bloggers to tell tourists that Bulgaria is a safe holiday destination", Dimitrina Goranova went on to say.
