Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov said that he expected a 15%-20% increase in accommodation, services and food prices on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In an interview for Nova TV, Minister Prodanov expressed hope that the 2022 summer tourist season will get close to 2019 in terms of the number of tourists.

In his words, Ukrainian refugees accommodated in state facilities should be integrated promptly, start jobs and vacate these facilities, so that state employees who have booked a holiday can take advantage of the opportunity to stay there as of mid-July. Nearly 5,000 Ukrainian refugees are accommodated in state facilities.

Minister Prodanov is paying a visit to Golden Sands resort which marks its 65th anniversary. More than 30 heads of diplomatic missions in Bulgaria are paying a visit to the resort to get familiar with Bulgaria’s potential in tourism.
