Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Calls to raise money for Russian military are absolutely unacceptable

"Calls for the citizens of an EU member state to support the servicepersons involved in illegal Russian aggression, as well as to violate European sanctions against Russia, are absolutely unacceptable", Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Facebook. The position of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry follows the Facebook post of the Russian Embassy in Sofia, which calls for donations for the soldiers involved in what the Kremlin calls "a special military operation" in Ukraine.

"Bulgaria reiterates its position that it strongly condemns the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
