Coronavirus positivity rate rises to 19%

314 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 1,663 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 64% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 19% of the tests have returned positive result.

The highest number of new Covid-19 cases was reported in Sofia- 109, followed by Burgas-58 and Varna-50.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection amounts to 59,814. 6 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 83% of them were not vaccinated. 366 people are being treated in hospital, as 27 of them are in intensive care units.

No Covid-related deaths were registered in the past day. 23 patients have been reported cured.

A mere 47 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday. 2,061,901 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 768,422 have had a booster shot.
