A mini urban festival will symbolically launch the renovated public space in the garden at 1Budapest str in the heart of Sofia. The hillock above the Goethe-Institut office in Sofia, neglected for years, is now overgrown with wild vegetation. The goal of the The Collective Foundation, organizers of the 100 chairs Budapest #1 Festival, is to demonstrate that with very little effort and some landscaping that attracts birds, bees and bugs, urban spaces can become attractive to people and it doesn't take much money.

There will be a seating area in the greenery and an outdoor stage and a bar nearby. There is a rich musical program, exhibitions, and screenings especially for the opening of the green oasis in the heart of Sofia. Until July 17, an Art Bazaar and an exhibition related to dark-tourism by Abandoned Bulgaria are also organized on site. All events are free.
