Bulgaria and Azerbaijan extend cooperation with a focus on energy and transport

During his two-day visit to Baku, outgoing Prime Minister Kiril Petkov discussed, with President Ilham Aliyev, the options for the delivery of additional amounts of Azeri gas to Bulgaria, in addition to the amounts already designated in connection with the new Greece-Bulgaria interconnector – IGB.

The details of the prospective new deliveries will be discussed by the energy ministers of the two countries. The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan will continue to develop actively with a focus on extending relations in energy and transport, the government press service reports.
