27.4% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

489 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, out of 1,784 tests performed, data of coronavirus.bg indicate. More than two-thirds of the newly-infected are not vaccinated. 27.4% of the tests came back positive.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection increased with 354 to 18,538. 32 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 26 of them, or more than 82% are not inoculated against the virus. 890 patients are being treated in hospital, as 46 of them are in intensive care units.

One Covid-related death has been reported during the past day. 134 people have been reported cured. A mere 85 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday.
