Bulgaria reports 6 Covid-related deaths in past day

1,701 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 7,362 tests performed, 250 down on the previous day. More than two-thirds of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 23.1% of the tests have returned positive result, data of coronavirus.bg indicate.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection increased with 609 to 26,582. 180 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the past day. 147 of them, or 81.7%, were not immunized. A total of 1,077 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, as 55 of them are in intensive care units.

6 people with an established coronavirus infection have died. 4 of them were not inoculated against Covid-19. 1,086 have been reported cured. 3,156 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday.
