The leader of "There is Such a People" Slavi Trifonov said he supports a national referendum with the question "Should Bulgaria be a presidential or a parliamentary republic?".

"I saw the political system from the inside - there is hypocrisy, lies, corruption, intrigues and a painful thirst for power. I am not a politician and I think that not only the GERB model, but the model of the entire current political system should be broken," he pointed out in statement on Seven Eighth TV. Trifonov announced that ITN would be the guarantor for the implementation of the people's decision in the next parliament.

Under the National Referendum Act, a national referendum cannot contain questions relating to the form of government.
