Bulgarian companies and organizations will be supported for their activities in the development of space technologies and space engineering curricula, announced the Ministry of Innovation and Growth.

The selection will be based on a tender procedure of the European Space Agency for Bulgaria with a total budget of BGN 2.2 million (EUR 1.1 million).

In recent years, 39 projects worth over BGN 13 million (EUR 6.6 million) have been financed. Among them are developments for an instrument mounted on an international satellite to measure radiation in orbit around Mars; a space greenhouse recreating the specific environmental conditions for growing plants; space food modules for the crews.
