Bulgaria reports 580 new cases of Covid-19

Over the past 24 hours, 580 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Bulgaria out of 5,206 tests performed, according to the data of the National Coronavirus Information Portal. 11% of the samples came back positive. 59% of the newly infected persons have not been vaccinated.

The highest number of cases is in Sofia - 187, in Sofia region - 33, and in Burgas - 31.

There are 640 patients in hospital as 57 of them are in intensive care units. 63% of the newly admitted 70 patients  have not been vaccinated. 

Five persons died in the past day, as 80% of them were not vaccinated. 624 patients recovered. 

Active cases in Bulgaria number 9,238. 

Yesterday, 1,339 doses of vaccines against coronavirus were administered. There are currently 2,073,422 people with completed immunization.
