Bulgaria reports 153 new Covid-19 cases in past day, 5 deaths

153 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 3,161 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 5%. Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 62% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The highest number of cases is in Sofia - 39, in Plovdiv –18, Varna – 18 and Burgas – 10

368 patients are being treated in hospital, 43 of them in intensive care. 65% of the 43 patients admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours are not vaccinated.

Five Covid-related deaths have been registered in the past day, none of them were vaccinated. 136 is the number of recoveries reported. The number of active cases in the country is 4,498.

417 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours, 2,074,275 is the number of people in Bulgaria with a completed vaccination cycle.
