Bulgaria’s National Assembly approved the report of the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee probing the signing and termination of the USD 1 billion memorandum with Gemcorp Holdings Limited and IP3 Corporation by the government of Kiril Petkov. 129 MPs voted in favour.

The document was supported by GERB, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, "Bulgarian Rise" and "Vazrazhdane". According to the report, the memorandum was not coordinated with the Ministry of Energy or the Bulgarian Energy Holding, Gemcorp requested secret information from Bulgargaz, etc.

GERB claims that the memorandum with Gemcorp has not been terminated and that Bulgaria will suffer serious financial damage. According to Kiril Petkov, Co-chairman of “We Continue and Change” and former Prime Minister, “these misinterpretations mislead people”. "The memorandum was terminated by all parties without any claims against the state", Kiril Petkov assured. The report will be sent to the State Agency for National Security (SANS), the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Interior.
