Annual inflation in Bulgaria stabilizes at 17%

In December, annual inflation in Bulgaria stabilized at the November level of 16.9%, according to the data of the National Statistical Institute. On a monthly basis, however, there is an increase in consumer prices by 0.9% compared to November. 


A serious price increase in the last month of the year was observed in the consumer group "entertainment and culture" (monthly growth of 8.5%). 


In healthcare, prices increased by 2.2%.


The price index for the small consumer's basket rose in December 2022 by 1.2% compared to a month earlier and by as much as 22.8% since the beginning of the year.
