The convoy with Bulgarian humanitarian aid has arrived in Syria, the Bulgarian Red Cross said. Bulgaria sent 4.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid by Spartan military aircraft. On Friday morning the aid was transported by a humanitarian convoy to the Syrian border. The donations from Bulgaria will reach the victims of the earthquake with the help of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

The Bulgarian Red Cross has provided the first two tons of humanitarian aid from its disaster reserve to the victims of the earthquake in Syria. This was possible thanks to the activation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and the confirmation from the Syrian authorities.
