Bulgaria's caretaker government, which is a technical body, gives direction for the development of the politicians who remain silent about the unadopted state budget. It is no longer possible to extend last year's budget, Dimitar Manolov, the leader of the Podkrepa trade union, told BNR.

He pointed out that there are sectors where tensions are simmering, especially in the public administration, where many salaries are left unchanged despite rising inflation.

As a critical sector, he outlined the coal mining in the Maritsa-East complex and the closure of the thermal power plants there, which was agreed with the EU by the previous regular government.
According to Manolov, Bulgaria has no plan "B" if the European Commission does not agree to change the commitment made by Bulgaria to sharply reduce its carbon emissions by 40% by 2025.
