Price of electricity for household consumers to increase by 4.37%

As of July 1, 2023, the price of electricity for household consumers will rise by 4.37% on average. The new prices will be in force for a period of 12 months. This was decided by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. 

Thus, the customers from Western and South-Eastern Bulgaria will start paying 10 eurocents per kilowatt-hour and those from the North-Eastern part of the country - about 11 eurocents per kilowatt-hour of electricity. Prices of central heating and hot water have seen an insignificant increase -from 0.05% for Toplofikacia Sofia to 0.48% for the heating utility company in Razgrad.
