Vieni, vieni a Mirabilandia – we can hear these words from the angelic voices as "horror trains" toss ‎‎"extremists" headlong into the sky, and others enjoying the world from a 25-meter tower ‎momentarily sink to the hard ground...

The year is 1999. The little singers in the amusement park ‎near Ravenna are from the Bulgarian vocal group "Rainbow", and one of the soloists, Dimitar ‎Karnolsky, today returns to this fairy-tale kingdom of fear and pleasure, but now as a producer, to ‎create Magia Italiana.‎

From July 2 to 7 this year, Art Center Karnolsky is organizing the international arts festival Magia ‎Italiana, which will be held in the world-famous Mirabilandia amusement park with the participation ‎of children and youth from 15 countries. 24 years ago, Bulgarian composer Dimitar Karnolsky started ‎the festival with a series of concerts in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. And today the son who ‎bears his name continues the work of his now late father.‎

‎"We are the only external production that has the opportunity to present a show and a competition ‎program at this place”, says the producer of the festival. “We gathered over 400 participants, and ‎this after the pandemic is a good sign, since we did not hold the festival for two years. Now, with ‎new forces and acquaintances, we will restore its luster especially since it is under the patronage of ‎the honorary consul of Bulgaria for Emilia-Romagna, Franco Castellini, who will be present and ‎award the best with diplomas. We have also provided a special grand prize. Half of the jury is made ‎up of Italian professionals, and the other - of musicians, dancers, vocalists and teachers with many ‎years of experience in different countries."‎

One of the interesting events of the festival will be the joint performance of a song written ‎especially for the event by Gianni Nepi - a vocal teacher with a large school in the Italian city of ‎Piombino.‎

Димитър Кърнолски
‎"The song will be a kind of ending to the gala concert”,  explains Dimitar Karnolski.  “All participants ‎will learn it together with the composer in a master class and will be invited to the stage. Besides ‎the Pepsi Theater in Mirabilandia, which is a very beautiful hall with over 500 seats, we will also ‎have performances on the promenade in Rimini, and probably in the square in front of the ‎municipality in Riccione, where the famous group Maneskin began their career. Here I want to ‎highlight the participation of theater studio "Smehurko" from Bankya - great young people who ‎present their theater, fire and dance show at a professional level. We will be able to present our ‎children, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian community in Italy from Milan, Padova and ‎Rimini, who will greet the guests from abroad and show Bulgarian arts."‎

Half of the participants in the festival come from different Bulgarian cities, which, according to ‎Dimitar Karnolski, is a good sign. "We will present very good compositions and especially impressive ‎five-six-year-old singers", he assures.‎

After the Italian magic, talented performers will come to the Bulgarian seaside where the Karnolsky ‎Summer Camp international competition returns for its 4th edition. From August 16 to 21, children ‎and youth will compete in the vocal, dance, orchestra and folklore categories in Sunny Beach. In ‎addition, various workshops and master classes are planned. The event will end with a gala concert ‎with the participation of famous Bulgarian performers in the Ancient Theatre in the Old Town of ‎Nessebar.‎

For more than 30 years now, the Art Center of Dimitar Kornolski has been introducing children to a ‎beautiful and more spiritual world, providing them with opportunities to share with the public the ‎joy they experience with art.‎

‎"With us, this is never at any cost”,  says Dimitar Kurnolski.  “Simply, the choice must be conscious, ‎good communication must be created between the teacher and the student and, above all, ‎friendship, in order for things to happen well. Every child wants to do art, with various sciences – be ‎it dance, music, drawing or something else, so we also try to give them a good foundation. But the ‎most important thing is that they grow up secure, relaxed and calm.”‎
