The Bulgarian girls win tournament of the European Team Cup in tennis

The national tennis team of Bulgaria for girls under 18 won the first place at a tournament of the European Team Cup in Arad (Romania). Bulgaria's team defeated the hosts from Romania in the final with a 3:0 victory. In singles, Iva Ivanova defeated Carmen Herea with 6:1, 6:4, and Rositsa Dencheva prevailed over Sara Dragnea with 4:6, 6:1, 6:2. In the doubles match, Dencheva and Ivanova won against Herea and Dragnea with 5:3, 4:2.


Thus, from August 7 to 9, Bulgaria will play in the finals of the best eight teams in Europe. In addition to the Bulgarian women, the teams of Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Romania and Slovakia will participate in the finals in Granville (France).

Bulgaria will defend its title from last year, won by Denislava Glushkova, Mihaela Tsoneva and Daria Velikova.
