With over 200 events throughout the country in September, Bulgaria will once again participate in the European Heritage Days initiative. This year's theme is Living Heritage, or the traditional knowledge, skills and customs passed down from generation to generation.

Dozens of creative workshops, art studios, festivals, concerts, literary readings, lectures, etc. are planned.

Every year in September, the countries that have signed the European Cultural Convention participate in the European Heritage Days - a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.

The aim is for people to get to know and appreciate their heritage and the connections between European peoples.
