Tennis: Grigor Dimitrov and Viktoriya Tomova climb up in world rankings

Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov and Viktoriya Tomova have climbed up in the world tennis rankings, published today. Grigor Dimitrov has climbed one notch in the ATP rankings to No. 19. Carlos Alkaras tops the rankings with 9,395 points, although he lost the final in Cincinnati. Novak Djokovic, who won the Cincinnati Open, comes second with 8,795. Daniil Medvedev is third in the ranking with 6,530 points.

Viktoriya Tomova climbed two positions in the women’s tennis rankings to No. 104. On August 21 she is to play her first match at the WTA Chicago Women’s Open 2023. Gergana Topalova, who played in the final of Vrotclaw tournament, climbed 17 positions to No. 296.

Denislava Glushkova ranks No. 461 and Lia Karatancheva is No. 469.

Iga Swiatek tops the women’s ranking, followed by Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula. Cincinnati champion Coco Gauff climbed one notch to No. 6.
