Grigor Dimitrov defeats Nicolas Jarry to advance to the Shanghai Masters semifinals

Grigor Dimitrov continued his impressive performance at the Shanghai Masters and for the ninth time in his career qualified for the semi-finals of the ATP 1000 tournament series, reports the sports media website sportal.bg. 

The Bulgarian tennis player dealt with the Chilean Nicolas Jarry with 7:6(2), 6:4 in 1 hour and 40 minutes of play and scored his first ever victory against this opponent after defeats in their previous two matches.

Today's triumph means Dimitrov will move up to No. 17 in the upcoming update of the world rankings. 

His next opponent will be either Andrey Rublev or Hugo Umber, the Tenniskafe sports news website notes.
