"Gallup: 45% of voters expected to go to the polls 

44.8% of eligible voters are expected to go to the polls in the local elections on 29 October. 2.5% of them are likely to vote "I do not support anyone" for the municipal list. These are the results of a survey conducted by Gallup International Balkan on behalf of the Bulgarian National Radio. The survey was conducted between 15 and 22 October 2023 among 1,008 people by face-to-face interview using tablets. The two-stage, nested design survey is representative of the country's adult population.

Asked which party lists or local coalitions they would vote for, 24.9% said they would vote for a list or coalition around GERB, 16.8% for We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB), and in Sofia - for Save Sofia, 15.8% for Vazrazhdane, 12.7% for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), 9.5% for the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), 4% for There is Such a People (ITN), 2.2% for The Left!, and 12% for various other formations, among which options around Bulgarian Rise, VMRO, etc. stand out. 2.1% said that they would vote for an independent candidate.

For 44.8% of those who intend to vote in the mayoral elections, the party that nominates a particular candidate is more important, but for 53.6% the personality of the candidate is more important. It is better to have a new mayor, say 54.8% of those who intend to vote. It is better to keep the same mayor, 37.7% say. In the end, the overall desire for a change prevails.

When asked if they would accept to vote in exchange for payment, other incentive or coercion, 11.4% of those intending to vote said "yes" and 8.0% said "no".
