NSI: Bulgaria's GDP grew by 1.7% in the third quarter

The country's gross domestic product growth slowed on an annual basis in the third quarter of 2023, while the quarterly growth rate was maintained, data from the National Statistical Institute showed. 

In the third quarter, GDP grew by 1.7% year-on-year and by 0.4% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2023. In addition, final consumption grew by 6.1%, but exports of goods and services fell by 7.8% and imports of goods and services decreased by 7.5%.

According to NSI estimates for the third quarter, nominal GDP reached BGN 47 732.8 million (24405.54 million euro), while realised added value was BGN 41 640.4 million (21290.53 mn euro).
