Bulgaria confirms its solidarity with Israel in hostage crisis

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel has met with Israeli Ambassador to Bulgaria Yosef Levi Sfari.

Together we discussed the situation in the Middle East and the need to release the hostages taken by Hamas, Minister Gabriel wrote on her Facebook profile. She adds that Sofia has once again expressed Bulgaria's solidarity with Israel. We continue to invest in the development of our bilateral relations in key areas such as economy, health care and environment, the foreign minister stated and thanked the ambassador for the constructive meeting.

On November 29, Ambassador Sfari and Bulgarian Minister of Education, Prof. Galin Tsokov, started negotiations for the signing of an agreement between the two countries for scientific cooperation, which includes the exploration of Antarctica.
