On the initiative of Sports Minister Dimitar Iliev, a working meeting will be held today with representatives of the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022 and the Bulgarian Chess Sports Federation. The goal is to find a solution for the unification of Bulgarian chess organizations so that Bulgarian chess players can prepare in good conditions, focused only on their successful performance.

The current situation is the reason why the Bulgarian female chess players who will participate at the European Championship in Rhodes, which starts on April 18 of this year, remain without funding.

The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Children, Family, Youth and Sports Nebie Kabak and the chairman of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Stefka Kostadinova were also invited to the meeting.
