Fans of rafting in Bulgaria are already making their first descents on the Struma River near the Kresna Gorge in Southwestern Bulgaria. The months of March, April and May are suitable for groups looking for more adrenaline, as the river is fuller and the experience is more extreme. June, July and August are more favorable for leisurely descents as well as family rafting.
The river has a variety of sections with varying degrees of difficulty, making it suitable for both amateurs and experienced racers.

From April 19 to 21, the Extreme White Water Rafting and Kayaking European and Balkan Cups will be held along the Struma River in the Kresna Gorge. The events are part of the prestigious series of the International Rafting Federation (IRF).

The competitions are held in Bulgaria for the 8th time and are organized by Sports Club "Adventure Network"
