Vice President Iliana Iotova was a guest at the Tudoritsa holiday– also called Horse Easter, celebrated by Bulgarians in the Romanian city of Targoviste. The ritual is part of the cultural heritage of the minorities in Romania. The custom was celebrated with a horse parade and a folklore program.

"For almost two centuries, you have protected the Bulgarian identity, you have protected the language, the traditions and the Bulgarian customs, the Bulgarian folklore". With these words, Iotova thanked the Bulgarian community for preserving the traditions. She also thanked the local Romanian authorities for the care they take for the Bulgarian minority. Before that, the vice president also visited the Bulgarian Sunday School "Yordan Yovkov" in Bucharest. Iotova expressed hope that the experience of the Bulgarian Sunday School in Bucharest will be implemented in other settlements in Romania where Bulgarians live.
