Separate collection of waste in Bulgaria is not up to par yet

In connection with the forthcoming adoption of the regulation on packaging and packaging waste, the branch Association Polymers is organizing a discussion on the role of recycling. The quality collection and recycling of waste is the principal way towards meeting the EU goals connected with packaging waste and using it in the recycled content, the Association’s chair Tsvetanka Todorova says. The situation in Bulgaria is not up to par as yet because of the quality of the waste used by recycling plants, she says. That is why businesses need to interact very well with each other, and the government and the municipalities - to demonstrate good will, Tsvetanka Todorova says further.
