USA remains a strategic partner of Bulgaria in the field of energy

Bulgaria’s Caretaker Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov and US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt discussed the continuation of the strategic cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States in the energy field. Minister Malinov and Geoffrey Pyatt met in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius where the Three Seas Initiative Summit was held.

They also discussed the implementation of the Vertical Corridor initiative of the gas transmission operators of Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and Moldova. Vladimir Malinov and Geoffrey Pyatt emphasized that the development of this route is key to energy security not only in Southeastern Europe but also for Ukraine and Moldova.
