The Parliamentary Committee on Tourism has adopted at first reading the Bill for Amendments to the Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria Act, submitted by Manoil Manev and Temenuzhka Petkova from the GERB-SDS parliamentary group, which aims to optimize the process of hiring citizens from third countries for seasonal work.

The deadlines for the administrative procedures are being reduced, the 180-day visa demanded by the branches is provided, as well as the possibility for the D visa (long-term residence visa) to be extended from the territory of Bulgaria. According to the Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Evtim Miloshev, this change will be useful not only for the tourism industry, but also for athletes, students, and everyone who uses a D visa.
