Sofia joins the European Night of Museums for the 20th time. The initiative is organized by the French Institute in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Culture and the Sofia Municipality on the third Saturday of May. Residents and guests of the Bulgarian capital will have free access to a number of exhibitions, concerts, workshops, films and guided tours in the city's museums.

Over 50 museums and galleries in Sofia will open their doors to everyone who wants to explore the exhibits in the evening hours. The French Institute in Bulgaria will open the doors of its media library between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to take visitors back to the 18th century with the final part of the game Just Dance 2024, which will have them dancing virtually in the Palace of Versailles. On the occasion of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, there will be a special evening with animated cinema dedicated to sports, featuring the short film "Athleticus" and the animated comedy film "The Triplets of Belleville". The events kick off at 7:00 p.m. in Slaveykov Hall.

''The European Night of Museums aims to provide greater access to culture and art. It's also a family celebration, as parents and their children stroll around and learn new things", say the organizers from the Sofia Municipality.

The association "Urban Transport and Infrastructure" provides a Retro line with renovated buses that will run during the European Night of Museums from the National History Museum via the Earth and Man National Museum to "Opalchenska" Street every 20 minutes.
