First forecasts show there would be six Bulgarian political forces in the European Parliament

There will be 17 Bulgarian MPs in the new 720-member European Parliament. According to the first data from the exit poll at 8 p.m. of sociological agency "Gallup International", a partner of the BNR in the coverage of the European vote on June 9, six Bulgarian political forces will be represented in the new European Parliament.

GERB-SDS (ГЕРБ-СДС): 26,5% or 5 seats

PP-DB (ПП-ДБ): 16%, or 3 seats;

"Vazrazhdane" (Възраждане): 15.4%, or 3 seats;

DPS (ДПС): 11.7%, or 3 seats;

"BSP for Bulgaria" (БСП за България): 9.7%, or 2 seats;

ITN (ИТН): 6.2% or 1 seat.

The turnout for the European Parliament was 33.1%.

Bulgarian citizens in the country and our compatriots abroad who meet the requirement of settled status on the territory of the EU have the right to vote for EP. Bulgarians living in another member state, according to the legislation, do not have the right to participate in the European Parliament elections from both countries and must choose one of them.
