Grigor Dimitrov replaces Rafael Nadal in Laver Cup

Grigor Dimitrov will participate in the Laver Cup for the second time in his career. The Bulgarian tennis player replaces Rafael Nadal in Team Europe. The competition will be held in Berlin from September 20 to 22. The Bulgarian tennis player will team up with Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev in Team Europe, while Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Francisco Cerundolo and Alejandro Tabilo will play for Team World. 

Team World has won 2 Laver Cup titles, while Team Europe has won 4 titles. This year's Laver Cup will be the last for captains John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg. Before the Laver Cup, Grigor Dimitrov and Novak Djokovic will delight tennis fans in Sofia with a grand tennis show. Dimitrov will play against Djokovic on September 17 in Arena Sofia.
