4,858 candidates vie for seats in the 51st Parliament

To date, 4,858 candidates have registered to participate in the early parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, of which 1,378 are women and 3,480 are men. This number is not final, as requests for the deletion of some candidates are still being submitted, Central Election Commission Deputy Chairperson Rositsa Mateva announced. 

There will be a total of 12,640 section election commissions in the country and abroad, but this number is subject to change, as polling stations will also be set up in hospitals, social institutions and detention centers 48 hours before election day. There are 719 polling stations in 57 foreign countries.
