The members of parliament will continue their session at 10 AM on November 22, following yet another unsuccessful attempt to elect a Speaker of the National Assembly. In the runoff, the candidate of the largest parliamentary group GERB-SDS, Raya Nazaryan, was again supported only by her colleagues from GERB-SDS. Silvi Kirilov received support from ITN, Vazrazhdane, the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, MECH and 17 MPs from We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB).
The candidates in the first round were Natalia Kiselova, nominated by BSP-United Left, Petar Petrov from Vazrazhdane, Raya Nazaryan from GERB-SDS and Silvi Kirilov from ITN.
